Agrozapotal teaching English and organic farming

AgroZapotal is a farming settlement created by twelve families who work every day to stimulate the agrarian development. They had converted it into a successful communal project.
Zapotal is the name of the town and it is located in the province of Puntarenas. It is mountain area so it can be quite cold and humid, the climate is typical of humid forest. It has beautiful landscapes and a great variety of indigenous flora and fauna.
The volunteers, besides teaching English, can work in the cheese factory, the greenhouse, and on the farms in conservation tasks. The production of cheese is the major income of the community, which practices organic farming.
There is the little one-teacher school where the children learn English. The farms, pigsties and mills owned by various people in the area testify to the activities that sustain this peaceful community. Volunteers live with the families and teach English to the children.
