Volunteering opportunities in San José and the rest of the country

You can volunteer by teaching  English in primary schools and  provide effective and practical help with spoken English in the schools we have as teaching placements in San Jose or in other cities or even in more remote places in the coutryside or beach.

You will be teaching children from ages three to thirteen. The size of the classes may vary from as little as ten students to as many as forty. You can either work by supporting a teacher in a full sized class, working with a small group to give students more individual attention or teaching your own class independently or with another volunteer.

We recommend you stay in our homestays so you can practice Spanish and get inmersed in the local culture.
