Volunteer teaching English in Matapalo

Matapalo English Teaching programme

You can volunteeer teaching English to children in the small village of Matapalo,  located at 3 kilometers away of  Matapalo Beach. During the weekends, it is also posible to help in the Marine Turtle Conservation and Investigation Project that is being developed in this beach. In Matapalo you can find a small supermarket, internet, laundry, a few restaurants and other facilities.

The volunteer programme consists of teaching English, making  teaching material for the classes and playing with children. It is also important the interchange with the community to share your cultures and learn about ours.

The volunteers will choose either to stay in a family house or in the Turtles Conservation Project.  In both cases you will sleep in a simple room with all the basic utilities.  Electricity is available, drinking water and telephone. Food It will be provided by the family where you stay or by the project.
